Selection of Temple Location

When we went to select a site for the temple, the Goddess indicated that she wished to reside in our ancestral plantation at Malligemettlu. Based on this divine sign, we constructed the temple at that exact spot.On April 12, 2015, during the Vikrama Samvatsara, Krishna Paksha Ashtami Tithi, at the Abhijit Muhurta, the consecration of the deity was performed. During the rituals, my Guru, Shri Shashidharan Namboodiri, involuntarily chanted the Vanadurga Mantra along with the original Parvathi Dhyanam, confirming the divine presence of both Parvathi and Vanadurga in the same idol.



Since then, temple rituals are performed in a unique way:

  • In the morning, the deity is worshipped as Parvathi.
  • In the evening, the deity is worshipped as Vanadurga.

This temple stands as a spiritual center, preserving the traditions and divine energy of Shri Vanadurga Parvathi, blessing all her devotees.

Guidance from Gurus and Ongoing Worship





The worship and rituals of Shri Vanadurga Parvathi have been taught to me by my Gurus – Shri Kakkadu Purushothama Namboodiri (Kakkadu Illam) and Shri Manjunatha Adiga (Shri Kshetra Kollur Mookambika). Under their guidance, all temple rituals and services are being carried out.Additionally, I am continuing my advanced studies in Tantra Shastra under the guidance of Shri Kakkadu Purushothama Namboodiri (Kakkadu Illam).
