Divine Visions and Temple Construction

Over time, the temple rituals had gradually declined. While I was pursuing my education, I repeatedly had dreams of an elderly woman (Muthaide Ajji) appearing before me. I shared this with my mother. Around the same time, our family began experiencing certain unusual changes, which my mother also noticed. To understand these occurrences, we consulted our Guru, Shri Shashidharan Namboodiri.

Temple Highlights

The Shri Kshetra Vanadurga Parvathi Temple has its roots in a deeply spiritual history that spans over 150 years. This sacred space was originally a site of worship for Shiva and Parvathi, upheld by generations of devoted ancestors. However, as time passed, the practice of rituals began to decline. The temple’s revival was not by chance but through divine intervention. The founder, during his education, began experiencing recurring dreams of an elderly woman (Muthaide Ajji) who seemed to be delivering a spiritual message. This experience was not isolated—his family also started noticing unusual occurrences. To seek clarity, the family consulted Guru Shri Shashidharan Namboodiri, who conducted an Ashtamangala Prashne (a divine inquiry). The results confirmed that the Goddess’s presence was strong within their home and that she wished for a temple to be built. The selection of the site was not based on human decision but on divine guidance, leading to the temple’s establishment in Malligemettlu. The location for the temple was divinely chosen as per the Goddess’s wishes.

The consecration of the temple was a powerful event that took place on April 12, 2015, during an auspicious Abhijit Muhurta. The rituals were conducted under the guidance of Guru Shri Shashidharan Namboodiri, an expert in Tantric traditions and Vedic rituals. A miraculous event occurred during the consecration—the Guru involuntarily began chanting the Vanadurga Mantra along with the original Parvathi Dhyanam. This spontaneous revelation confirmed that both Parvathi and Vanadurga resided within the same idol. Since its consecration, the temple has strictly adhered to Tantra Shastra under the guidance of renowned spiritual mentors like Shri Kakkadu Purushothama Namboodiri and Shri Manjunatha Adiga. Their expertise ensures that traditional rituals, powerful poojas, and spiritual offerings are performed with authenticity. In the morning, the deity is revered as Goddess Parvathi, embodying love, fertility, and well-being. Devotees seek her blessings for prosperity, family harmony, and inner peace. However, as the day progresses and evening descends, the same idol is worshipped as Vanadurga, the fierce protector.

Beyond being a place of worship, Shri Kshetra Vanadurga Parvathi Temple is also a hub for preserving ancient traditions. The temple is committed to authentic Vedic practices and Tantra Shastra, ensuring that spiritual rituals remain pure and powerful. The temple’s founder is actively pursuing advanced studies in Tantra Shastra, strengthening his understanding of sacred rituals under the guidance of Shri Kakkadu Purushothama Namboodiri and other esteemed Gurus. This ensures that all poojas, homams, and spiritual services adhere to time-honored traditions. Many devotees have shared experiences of profound spiritual transformation after visiting the temple. From removing obstacles in life to finding inner peace and divine guidance, the temple stands as a powerful gateway to spiritual growth and enlightenment. Shri Kshetra Vanadurga Parvathi Temple stands as a beacon of divine energy, welcoming all devotees seeking blessings, protection, and the removal of life’s challenges. It is a place where tradition meets spiritual transformation, offering devotees a powerful connection to the divine.

The Shri Kshetra Vanadurga Parvathi Temple follows a deeply rooted traditional worship system, blending ancient Vedic rituals and Tantric practices to maintain the temple's sanctity and divine energy. Unlike many temples, the deity here is worshipped in two distinct forms—as Goddess Parvathi in the morning and Goddess Vanadurga in the evening—signifying the balance between nurturing grace and fierce protection. This dual-worship tradition is a rare and powerful spiritual practice, ensuring devotees experience both compassion and strength from the divine presence. The temple rituals are conducted under the strict guidance of experienced Gurus, ensuring adherence to Tantra Shastra and traditional scriptures. Daily poojas begin in the early hours with abhishekam (ritual bathing), alankaram (decoration), and archana (chanting of divine names), followed by Nivedyam, where offerings such as fruits, rice, and sweets are presented to the Goddess. The evening worship transforms the temple’s atmosphere, as the deity is revered as Vanadurga, the fierce protector, with sacred chants and powerful homams (fire rituals) performed to ward off negativity and evil forces.
